Deb Delmas of the Heart of Dixie Orchid Society in Huntsville will present the program, “Appreciating Furan” based on her 92 point FCC award educational display in April 2012 at HODAS orchid show. “Furan of Wild Orchid” is a Japanese name for the Neofinetia falcate orchid. It was grown in ancient times only by the nobility or the wealthy. The program will explore the history, the varietal types, and the growing culture of these beautifully fragrant orchids. These orchids and all variation are highly sought after and cultivated. Deb will have a few plants for sale at the meeting.
